Military: USAF 1975-1980 Ground Radio Technician, Basic Training Lackland AFB, TX Technical Training Keesler AFB, MS, Stations: Sembach AB, W. Ger. 76-79 601st TACC, 601st TCW, Holloman AFB, NM 79-80 AFCS

Civilian Life: After leaving USAF worked for RCA RADAR Service - White Sands Missile Range, NM 80-81. Assisted with Space Shuttle Columbia landing at White Sands. Hired on with Burroughs Computers - Holloman AFB, NM 81-82 then moved to Dallas, Tx 82-87. Went back to W. Ger. with UNISYS Corp. 87-90 and lived in Heidelberg & Kaiserslautern 87-90. Moved back to Dallas with UNISYS worked at the Ft. Worth Federal Bldg. then hired on with Federal Govt. GSA and worked at the GSA Federal Depot Ft. Worth 90-97. Moved back to Tomah, WI and am currently employed at the Tomah VA Medical Center as a Computer Specialist.

Married to Rita (Garber) Steffel 4/15/78, Retired USAF 26 years, currently retired from the Tomah VAMC as a M.S.A. (RED Team)

Son: Aaron 8/18/82, currently employed at Tomah VAMC as a C.N.A., Grandson: Jackson 6/4/07

Randi Owen
Member of Tomah Post 201 since 1993, Past Post 1st Vice 2014/15 year and now the current Finance Officer. 

Military Life: US Army, 1980-1988, Cobra Helicopter Crew Chief / Electronics Repairman. Basic Training - Fort Jackson, SC, AIT Schooling - Fort Eustis, VA, Duty Stations - Ft. Hood & Ilishiem Germany. 

Civilian Life: After leaving the Army I drove OTR Semi Truck from 1988 - 1996, I left the trucking industry in 1996 and opened my own business in Repairing Two Way Radio until my Big Move to Alaska in 2009, I also started working for Magnum radio (WTMB, WBOG, WXYM) in 1999 as a Radio Engineer and a On Air Personality doing weekend weather and a weekend show on Classic Rock WTMB, in 2004 I made a move to Sparta-Tomah Broadcasting (WCOW, WKLJ, WFBZ) where I was an On Air Personality (Big O) for WFBZ 105.5 The Zoo Classic Rock until a format change in 2008, also was a On Air Personality on WCOW 97.1 doing a weekend show also, and many other engineering task. As if I did not have allot to do already I started working at Fort McCoy in 1997 full time as a Shuttle Bus Driver and in 2001 became a Gate Guard and then in 2003 a Police Officer where I stayed till the wife and I moved to Alaska in the Summer of 2009. In Alaska I stayed a Police Officer till I injured my knee and it took me off the road, I was then transferred to a position in the 911 Call Center as a Dispatcher where I received the Army Achievement Award for Civilian Workers (See Pic). Returning back to the Tomah WI Area in the summer of 2013, I currently work back out at Ft. McCoy as a 911 Dispatcher.

I am married to my wife Bonnie (Crook) Owen, 04/15/1996. We have 3 kids: Adam, Eric & Sarah, 8 Grandkids: Tristain, Leeland, Morgan, Ronan, Bell, Jaxson, Eva, & Cadance.

Hobbies include: Camping/RVing, Ham Radio, Motorcycle Riding, Cruzes.
